On August 8th, Jess and I flew from Heathrow to Dublin where we rented a car and spent the week driving around Ireland. We first drove across the country to the Dingle Penninsula, then up to Galway, then spent a day on Inishmore of the Aran Islands, then through Conemara to Leenane, then to Glenties in Donegal, then to my Aunt Ena's cottage in Fanad, and finally back to Dublin. We flew back to Boston on August 16th. Phew.
Jess and I agreed
that next time, we would pick a smaller area to explore and spend less time
travelling. Fortunately, that may be possible as my Aunt Ena gave me a key
to her place in a town just north of Belfast.
